- Pilot: Ets transcription factor family
- Study ID
- The Ets transcription factor family have a unique DNA binding domain, the erythroblast transformation specific (ETS) domain. It is so called because v-ets, one of the two oncogenes carried by avian leukemia virus E26, has an ETS domain. The DNA binding activity of Ets1 is controlled by kinases and transcription factors. Multiple ETS family members are partners in translocations in both leukaemias and solid tumours.
Sequencing of any given sample through the gene sets should be considered work in progress. Lack of reported mutations in any given gene for a particular sample does not necessarily imply the sample is wildtype for the gene.
