- Progression through the cell cycle requires the activity of two ubiquitination complexes, the Skp1-cullin-F-box-protein complex (SCF) and the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC). Misregulation of proper replication licensing and controls on cell cycle progression are hallmarks of cancer. The genes in this study encode human homologues of components identified within these two complexes.
Sequencing of any given sample through the gene sets should be considered work in progress. Lack of reported mutations in any given gene for a particular sample does not necessarily imply the sample is wildtype for the gene.
